Coote specialise in design and manufacture of small to medium size feeder units which provide reliable and economical handling of most granular and powder materials.

A wide range of standard designs is readily adaptable to meet customers special requirements.

Standard feeder trays are manufactured in aluminium.

Stainless steel construction is also available if required.

Feeders can be manufactured having trays within the following size parameters:

  • Wide  25mm up to 1000mm
  • Length  200mm up to 1500mm
  • Depth  50mm up to 200mm

Feeder units are suitable for use on 230V - 1ph - 50HZ supply. Units for operation on 60HZ and/or other supply voltage can be supplied to customer order. Discharge rate from ¼ kg/hr up to 15 tonne /hr can be achieved and are finely controlled by various types of units.

Weighing Systems
Weighing systems in which a load cell controls the feeder can provide fast initial feed reducing to a trickle "top up" to achieve high accuracy. Also loss in weight or gain in weight feeder units.

Hoppers
Hoppers of correct design can be integrated with a feeder. This utilises a single vibrator unit to drive the feeder tray and at the same time ensures good material flow within the hopper, eliminating bridging funnelling problems.

Separation
Separation of grain size and delivery to alternative outlets can be effected by screens fitted in the tray.

Curtain Coating
Curtain coating provides accurate uniform distribution of materials - a typical example, coating  salt onto roasted peanuts using a conveyor one metre wide.

Material Transfer and Metering
Material transfer and metering by means of vibratory feeders can effect significant economies, typically by feeding materials into process machinery (Mills, Grinders, etc.) at controlled rates which ensure optimum efficiency.

Blending
Blending with a series of feeders containing products to be mixed can be set to achieve the desired mix proportions.
